Truck Driver Appreciation Week began more than 20 years ago as a way to thank and recognize the more than 3.5 million truck drivers who crisscross our country’s highways each year. In 1998, the American Trucking Associations declared the third week in September as National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. Since then, the week has become a yearly tradition to celebrate truck drivers and their contributions.
